Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at The Farmhouse.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 7 service users at The Farmhouse.
The following conditions are imposed by consent order dated 8 August 2024:
a. The Registered Provider must not admit any new service user to the Location without the prior written agreement of the Respondent. This includes any new service user admission requests, and any respite or emergency admissions of service users.
i. The Respondent will reply to the Registered Provider with a written decision of being notified of the Registered Provider’s intentions to admit
b. The Registered Provider must within 10 days of this condition coming into effect, provide to the Respondent on the first Monday of each month by 4pm a written report setting out what actions are being or have been taken at the Location:
i. The report must include evidence of monthly audits undertaken, the audit findings, the improvement actions to be taken, outstanding actions, timescales for their completion and details of who is responsible for these actions.
ii. To establish and effectively implement a system to ensure accidents and incidents are appropriately identified, reported, recorded, and managed.
iii. To establish and effectively implement a system to assess, monitor and mitigate risks to service users and others in relation to ‘breakaway techniques’, and restrictive practices.
iv. To establish and effectively implement a system to assess, monitor and review service users’ functional behavioural needs and positive behaviour support plans.
v. To establish and effectively implement a system to check that staff are implementing their training to interact with and respond to service users’ needs safely, following a person-centred approach.
vi. To establish and effectively implement recruitment procedures to ensure that persons employed are of good character.
vii. To establish and effectively implement systems to ensure compliance and to assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the services.
