During an inspection looking at part of the service
People using the service told us that they were well cared for and that, "staff are kind and they talk to me." "Visitors are welcome at any time." "I know who my key staff are and get to talk to them often." They told us that they were included in discussions about their care and had been involved in care planning. We confirmed this from a sample of care records.
We asked people using the service if they saw a doctor regularly. One person said, " I see a doctor about twice a week, but I can see one when I want to." Other people confirmed this.
We observed some people using the service engaging in table top craft activities, we were told that a number of occupational activities were being provided. People said, "I enjoy the activities they provide and try to go to alot of the sessions." Another said, "You can be really busy if you go to all the things they provide."
We observed a mealtime and people told us that the food was okay, but they didn't like some of the food choices available and felt their was too much repetition in the menu's.
People told us if they had any concerns they felt able to talk to staff about them, we confirmed that information is provided detailing how people can make a complaint if they need to.
