People told us they were happy with the care and support they received. One person said, "I am happy with everything." Other comments included, "It's much better here than the other place" and "Staff ask if I am happy." We found that people's privacy and dignity was respected and their independence maintained and promoted.
People's care and support needs were appropriately assessed and their care was planned. We concluded that they received care safely, and to an appropriate standard.
We saw that people were comfortable in the presence of the staff who cared for them. People told us they felt safe and we found that staff were aware of their responsibilities in relation to protecting people from harm or abuse.
Staff were supported and trained appropriately in order to deliver care safely. In addition, staff had opportunities for continued professional development.
We found that the provider had adequate systems in place to monitor the quality of the service they provided.
However, we found that shortfalls in the maintenance of accurate records may put people at risk of receiving inappropriate care and treatment.
