During a routine inspection
One person we spoke to showed us a 'Thumbs up' sign and smiled when we asked them what Occombe House was like. Another told us it was 'good'.
One person we spoke to told us about a party they were having for their forthcoming birthday.
One person we spoke to indicated to us they liked living there and that the staff were 'nice'.
A staff member told us about how one person expresses their choices about having a lie in at the weekend, or about whether they wish to go to the day centre. We saw evidence that people's choices were being respected in this matter.
We spoke to some visitors on our second inspection, who told us their relative was happy to return to the home after time away.
