The registered provider, with immediate effect, must commence a detailed and effective safeguarding register and safeguarding incident log for the identification, recording, reporting, investigation, management, monitoring and learning from safeguarding cases within the service, in line with local arrangements and share this with CQC by 5 September 2022.
The registered provider must report any safeguarding concerns immediately to the Local Authority, and the police where appropriate.
The registered provider must by 5 September 2022 submit evidence to the Care Quality Commission that there is an adequate and up to date safeguarding policy in place that includes issues such as modern slavery and human trafficking; that it is read, referred to and followed by all staff, and is appropriately reviewed and updated annually.
The provider must ensure that all staff have completed the appropriate level safeguarding training (https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/gps/gp-mythbuster-25-safeguarding-adults-risk) and provide evidence of this to the Care Quality Commission by 5 September 2022; and ensure that staff remain up to date in this training.
The registered provider shall report to the Care Quality Commission describing the system in place for service users referred to safeguarding services at the Local Authority by Mayfair Practice, to include the last date of any examination or test undertaken at Mayfair Practice. The report must also include the following:
a. The actions taken to ensure that the system is implemented and is effective.
b. Action taken to ensure the system is being audited monitored and continues to be followed.
The report should include results of any monitoring data and audits undertaken that provide assurance that a process is in place for the management of safeguarding referrals.
