Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not accept new packages of care for service users that they do not currently provide care to, without prior written agreement by the Care Quality Commission.
The registered provider must not accept any increases to existing care packages without prior written agreement by the Care Quality Commission.
By Wednesday 17 November 2021 the registered provider must provide the Care Quality Commission in writing with the details of all service users receiving a package of care delivered within the definition of personal care, within the scope of registration guidance document, issued by the Care Quality
Commission. This must include each service users name, care provided, number and duration of calls per day and who has commissioned the care.
By Monday 22 November 2021, the registered provider must provide in writing to the Care Quality Commission an updated action plan. The action plan must include details of how you will assess, monitor and improve the quality and safety of the services provided in the carrying on of the regulated activity; mitigate the risks relating to the health, safety and welfare of service users and others who may be at risk which arise from the carrying on of the regulated activity; maintain securely an accurate, complete and contemporaneous record in respect of each service user, including a record of the care and treatment provided to the service user and of decisions taken in relation to the care and treatment provided; and steps taken to implement the safe recruitment of staff, including pre-employment processes, updates of DBS checks, training attendance and action to implement governance systems and audits to monitor the quality of the service. Any action should specify a timeframe, and who will undertake these actions.
A summary report must be provided weekly up until Monday 27 December 2021, and thereafter monthly until agreed by the Care Quality Commission that no further action plan is required. This summary report should include:
a) progress on all aspects of safe recruitment of staff, including pre-employment processes, updates of DBS checks, training attendance, staff competency checks
b) the actions taken to implement governance systems and audits to monitor the quality of the service
