Well-led
Staff felt well supported by managers and felt confident approaching them. There were robust systems in place for recruitment and supervision of staff although rates of compliance to supervision varied across sites. Appropriate systems were in place to support freedom to speak up. Governance and management accountability was clear.

Capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders
Staff felt well supported by managers and felt confident approaching them. Managers reported being well supported and found senior colleagues accessible. Both staff and managers received support and opportunity to further develop and upskill. Concerns around poor performance or culture were dealt with quickly.
There were appropriate systems in place for the recruitment of staff. Staff received supervision but both management and clinical supervision compliance was variable and ranged between 51% and 97%.
Freedom to speak up
Staff and managers felt comfortable raising concerns without fear of victimisation.

Workforce equality, diversity and inclusion

Governance, management and sustainability
Staff had a good understanding of their role. Managers audited case notes at supervision and issues or learning needs were addressed. Managers reported individual KPIs were difficult to assess with SystmOne but hope the implementation of the new MaST system would help. Good oversight of risk was maintained day to day through daily meetings.
Governance and management accountability was clear and there was evidence of implementation of some quality frameworks. Services regularly undertook audits of case notes as well as processes. Business and governance meetings and team meetings were held regularly to share information, review the use of resources and monitor performance within services.
