Logos Heart Care

Date of assessment 6 December 2024. Logos Heart Care is a home care agency providing personal care and support to older people living with dementia, mental health conditions and physical disabilities. At the time of the assessment, there was 1 person receiving support with personal care. This assessment was carried out without a visit to the location’s office. We used telephone calls to enable us to engage with people using the service and staff, and electronic file sharing to enable us to review documentation. The last rating for this service was good (published 25 August 2023).The rating for this assessment remains good. People were well cared for, and their needs were met. The provider understood and managed risks appropriately. Staff felt supported and received appropriate training to care for people safely. People were treated with kindness, dignity and compassion. Staff treated people as individuals and supported their preferences. The provider cared and promoted the wellbeing of staff to be happy and effective in their roles. The provider actively sought the views of staff, people using the service and their representatives to improve care delivery.

People and their representatives were happy about the care and support received. People told us they felt safe and were involved in planning their care. People reported staff understood their preferences, histories, backgrounds, and routines to support and maintain their independence. People felt that staff listened to them and communicated with them in a respectful way. A relative commented, ‘’ We see the same carer, he is very good, kind and respectful to us’’.
