Caring
Staff were attentive to people's needs and understood the importance of getting to know their preferences and routines.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
A visiting professional told us "Staff are good with residents."
Staff were attentive and responsive to people's needs. Staff engaged with people, speaking with people ensuring they had maintained eye contact, and were observed to be polite and respectful. People were relaxed in the company of staff and we observed light-hearted and jovial interactions.
People were positive about the staff's approach and felt they were treated well, with dignity, respect and kindness. A person told us "Oh yes, I'm looked after well, staff have been kind to me." Relatives confirmed their family members were treated with kindness, dignity and respect. A relative told us, "On the whole happy."
Staff were positive about the quality of the care provided and spoke of their commitment to provide consistent care, which met people's individual needs, routines and preferences. A member of staff told us, "I am doing this work as one day I will get old too, understanding that everyone is different and taking time to manage it, is important."
