Effective
At our previous inspection in August 2023, it was concluded that this service was not effective. At this inspection, we were unable to rate effective, as this inspection looked only at addressing each specific area of the enforcement action that we took against the provider following the previous inspection. We assessed one quality statement relating to consent to care and treatment. At the previous inspection, we served the provider a Requirement Notice under Regulation 11 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 (need for consent). Staff made sure that patients understood the provider’s consent policy, which helped patients make their own decisions about their care or treatment.
This service scored 29 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Consent to care and treatment
Staff gained consent from patients for their care and treatment in line with legislation and guidance. Staff made sure patients consented to treatment based on all the information available. Patients were given a 14 day cooling off period and were not permitted to change any detail of their procedure on the day of treatment. Patients were made aware of this as it was now included in the updated patients’ terms and conditions documentation that the provider sent to patients prior to surgery. This was in line with the recommendations by the Professional Standards for Cosmetic Surgery and the General Medical Council.
