People's experience of this service

People’s choice and independence was not always promoted and risks posed to people were not always safely managed. People were supported by kind and caring staff. We received mixed feedback from people and relatives regarding their care and support. Most people told us they felt safe living at the service and were happy with their care, however most people told us more staff were needed. One person said, ““I love it here, they look after me, they are very good. It’s brilliant, I can’t thank them enough for how good they are. I feel safe; it’s everything, it’s the carers who are so kind and look after you. It’s home from home for me.” Whilst another person said, “When I use my call bell, the staff don’t have much go in them and I have to wait.” People told us they enjoyed the food and were offered a variety of choices. Comments included, “The food is brilliant, you can have what you like” and “I am very happy with the cuisine, they provide good food.” People and relatives told us they felt the service was well led and had improved sin the new manager was in place.
