Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
2. Following completion of all the above monthly audits, the Registered Provider and Registered Manager must produce a combined action plan stating each individual audit area, the actions, and how and when this will be monitored to ensure it has been completed. The first action plan must be submitted to CQC 14 days after the coming into effect of this condition. The action plan must be updated on a monthly basis and a copy of this action plan sent to CQC on the first Monday of every month.
1. The Registered Provider must within 14 days of this condition taking effect undertake at Greenbanks care home:
(a) An audit of all service users’ current needs and care plans, relating to: nutrition, wound care, mobility, personal equipment and specific health conditions. The audit must identify whether there is a risk assessment and/or care plan for each service user that adequately reflects their needs and mitigates any risks. The audit must identify if the risk assessment and or care plan is already in place, including the date this was last reviewed and if this accurately reflects the service users continuing needs. The audit must include actions that need to be taken as a result of the audit, the date the actions must be completed by and who is responsible for ensuring this.
(b) A monthly audit to demonstrate effective infection control is in place. The audit must include the actions that needs to be taken as a result of the audit, the date the actions must be completed by and who is responsible for ensuring this.
(c) A monthly audit of all service users’ wounds including pressure injuries, skin tears and bruising. The audit must identify cause and analysis, the system should identify any themes or trends and show any learning outcomes. The audit must include the actions that need to be taken as a result of the audit, the date the actions must be completed by and who is responsible for ensuring this. The audit process must ensure any risks identified have been assessed and mitigated.
(d) A monthly audit of all service users’ medicine records, including their care
plans, risk assessment, Medicine Administration Records and PRN protocols. The audit must identify any recording errors, administration errors and care plan/risk assessment/PRN protocol updates. The audit must include the actions that need to be taken as a result of the audit, the date the actions must be completed by and who is responsible for ensuring this.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Greenbanks Care Home.
The Registered Provider must only Accommodate a maximum of 30 service users at Greenbanks Care Home.
