Our view of the service
The assessment took place from 06 November 2024 to 26 November 2024. Meritum Integrated Care LLP (Folkestone) is a domiciliary care agency registered to provide an extra care housing service as well as homecare service to the whole population with a range of needs including, older people, younger adults, adults who maybe living with dementia and people with a learning disability or autistic people. This assessment relates to the homecare part of the service. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. This assessment was undertaken in response to concerns in relation to staff skills, knowledge and understanding and the governance systems in place. This assessment did not identify any issues in relation to the concerns raised. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The agency met and promoted this guidance for people they supported with a learning disability or autistic people.
