Governance, management and sustainability
Leaders and staff talked us through their role and responsibilities and it was clear that everyone understood their remit and what is expected of them. Staff had confidence in the manager, they felt supported and valued. Staff felt that Up 24 Seven Services Ltd was a good place to work for and they felt that people are well cared for. Staff comments about the governance included, "[The manager] is very good at her job and compassionate"; "it is a good company to work for"; "[The manager] is professional, supportive and efficient".
Service had systems and processes in place to ensure that all staff had clear responsibilities, roles, systems of accountability and good governance. There were clear and effective governance, management and accountability arrangements, for example audits of care plans, medication, staff performance. Staff's responsibilities were defined in their job description and discussed in supervisions. Risks were managed effectively and the leaders had an effective oversight of risk assessments. Notifications were consistently submitted to external agencies such as CQC and the Local Authority as required. There were systems and processes to ensure that data is kept confidential.
