We carried out this announced on-site assessment on 8 January 2025. We found the practice had not met all regulations. Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required. Patients’ consent to care and treatment was obtained in line with legislation and guidance. Complaints were dealt with positively and efficiently. There was a lack of effective leadership, and not all risks associated with undertaking of regulated activities had been suitably identified and mitigated. The practice is in Ringwood and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. The practice had 9 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 4 dentists, 2 dental nurses, a receptionist, the compliance manager and the practice manager. The provider was not complying with all regulations. Full details of the regulation the provider was not meeting are within the assessment findings below. We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
