There was a culture of safety and learning. Learning from incidents was evident. Staff had training in key skills and managed safety well. There was a strong understanding of safeguarding and how to take appropriate action. The service-controlled infection risk well. Staff assessed risks to patients, acted on them and kept good care records. There were processes in place to ensure the service mostly had enough staff with the right training, skills and qualifications to keep patients safe from avoidable harm.
