The service promoted people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. People were supported to be in control of their lives, one person told us, “I only do things I want to do; we have lots of choices here.” Staff were passionate about people and told us ways in which they would promote independence. People were in control of their care, where appropriate relatives were consulted and kept up to date. One relative told us, “I was included in the care plan review, this included adding things, asking questions and checking in with my loved one [name].” We observed staff offering choices to people, with a respectful and kind approach.
