Our view of the service
We carried out an announced assessment of four quality statement on the 14 March 2024 of Penkridge medical practice. This assessment was carried out due to concerns we were made aware of by a whistle blower. We recognise the great and often innovative work that GP practices have been engaged in to continue to provide safe, caring, responsive and well led services. We know colleagues are doing this while demand for general practice remains exceptionally high, with more appointments being provided than ever and many practices developing new ways to triage patients to ensure patients get the best care possible. This assessment was carried out to check on patient care and ultimately improve the care patients receive.
People's experience of this service
The feedback we received from people was positive. People told us the care they received was good and that they were involved in decisions about their care and treatment. People told us they were able to access a GP and that access arrangements had improved over greatly recent months.
