Governance, management and sustainability
The provider had good governance processes in place, which ensured the practice was managed to a high standard. There were clear and effective systems in place for accountability and staff demonstrated they understood this. There were clear systems in place to monitor, review and implement changes where these were necessary. Complaints, significant events and safeguarding processes were clearly understood, and all staff knew who to go to in the event there was a concern being raised. We found the appropriate meetings were taking place to ensure governance processes worked and quality was being delivered.
The provider employed over 30 staff in a range of different roles to ensure people received the care and treatment they needed. Staff told us they were happy within their job roles, and this was confirmed as we found there were staff who had been employed for over 40 years. Staff were clear about their roles and responsibilities and had opportunities through training and development to improve their job skills. We found the staff team had recently changed due to staff having moved into different roles and staff had left to work elsewhere and use the skills they had developed. We found staff views were not gathered by way of an in house survey, but leaders told us this was something they would be doing in the future.
